In the northern region of Ghana, men are not only decision makers in the communities but are also sole custodians of all lands and other vital properties. They decide what to do with their lands and other valuable properties under their possession. Traditionally, the role of women in northern region is to handle all house chores including cooking, fetching water and washing all the dirty clothes at homes.
